General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

Post by mecadmin » Sat Jul 21, 2018 2:21 am

As everyone is well aware, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) went into effect on May 25th, 2018. Many virtual airlines (VAs) are working dilligently towards meeting compliance with the new regulations. Mirage's existing privacy policy is very complaint with GDPR and only some minor tweaks will be needed to ensure that MEC is meeting the intent of GDPR.

MEC prides itself on being a very professional and user-friendly VA. MEC would never do anything that is contrary to or inconsistent with what is reasonably expected in running a VA. MEC only collects basic data in order to process your registration so we can verify you are who you claim to be (typically your name, email, date of birth to verify you are over the legal age to join us and a Vatsim or IVAO ID). We do not make your personal information available to anyone nor do we share your information with any third parties unless required by law.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
