Hello Captains. July's DOTM is ready for you to fly. Starting this year, the month of June's DOTM will be in celebration of Jerry's life and his love of Aviation. Since this year's June DOTM was half way over when we lost Jerry way too soon, we will dedicate this year's July DOTM to this great man and dedicate the month of June next year and the years after.
DOTM:
This month's DOTM is pretty simple. You have to fly to Jerry's home airport of Sequim Valley Airport (W28). There is no flight plan. Just fly to Sequim Valley and land, just make your flight at least 150nm. Your choice of departure airport and route. One of the things Jerry loved about this airline was there wasn't a lot of rules to flying. That is why I am leaving all the flight planning to you.
HDOTM:
Since you are already at Sequim Valley airport, for the helicopter pilots, this month we are headed to Friday Harbor (KFHR) from Sequim Valley (W28). You will be landing at San Juan County Emergency Management helipad. The helipad is located on the
e west side of the airport just north of the southern hangars. See the attached picture for help. This helipad is in MSFS 2024 scenery, not sure about 2020 or X-plane since I haven't had time to check it, but if not just land somewhere on the airport.
