September 2026 DOTM El Porvenir Airport (MPVR)

This month's DOTM takes us to a small island airport in north Panama. There is not much there, a runway (paved by the way), and few building and some beaches, that is about it. If you are familiar with Walker's Cay in the Bahamas or Cedar Key in Florida, then you know what I am talking about, but just smaller. All departures and approaches are over water. Nothing else to say about this DOTM as you will see when you arrive.

September 2026 HDOTM Needles Lighthouse Helipad  (EGLT)

This month's HDOTM takes us to the Isle of Wright. Needles Lighthouse stands on an isolated chalk stack off the western tip. There you will find a red and white lighthouse with a helipad on top of the lighthouse. Takeoff from anywhere you like and try to land on this very challenging helipad. The pad is only 26 feet across and a max weight of 3.5 tons. 

NOTES ON ICAO: For flight planning in sim and for making charter flight in Mirage, please use EGLT, however, in real life EGLT is the code for Ascot Racetrack Helipad.
