TRIPLE CROWN TRAIL SERIES - Continental Divide Trail

The Triple Crown Trail series will consist of three separate tours, the Appalachian Trail tour (AT), Continental Divide Trail tour (CDT) and Pacific Crest Trail tour (PCT).  The Triple Crown refers to the three major U.S. long-distance hiking trails.  The Triple Crown of Hiking is awarded to individuals who hike all 3 trails in their entirety.  An award will be issued at the completion of each tour.

The CDT is approx. 3100 miles long from Mexico to Canada.  The trail traverses 5 states, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho & Montana.  The southern terminus is Crazy Cook Monument NM near the Mexico border.  The northern terminus is Waterton Park in Alberta Canada. The trail goes through lot's of high altitude wilderness areas.

Many small airports with short runways.  Some of the airports on the tour are adjacent to the trail, but due to the

remoteness of the trail, some airports are located miles from the CDT.

NOTAM:    Leg 5 - KPSO is shown as 2V1 in FSX.

Leg 6 - KANK is shown as 0V2 in FSX.

Leg 14 - FSX shows Leadore as U00 but is KU00 in Mirage schedules

Considering all the short runways, Jim recommends using a single engine Cessna type AC or Beech Baron 58 for this GA tour.

A big thank you to MEC235 Jim S for building this Triple Crown Tour.
